Sam got his first bike at the age of 5, a Suzuki JR50, he out grew it at 7 years of age and hasn’t had or ridden a bike since, until September 2006 when he took delivery of a Gen 4 mid bike minimoto from Viperformance. Sam competed in several meetings and went on to win almost every race that he entered until he crashed out on the lead on badly worn tyres in the last meeting of the year. Since taking delivery of the Metrakit 70 he has spent most of his time practicing and training to compete in the Metrakit Series. Sam will be making the occasional visit to Southern race meets to compete against the boys and girls from the big smoke to gain experience and develop his skills on different tracks. |
